How it plays
Every move is a card, and the board punishes bad instincts.
THREE CARDS
Straight slides, sweeping diagonals and knight leaps. Every square a card can reach is marked on the board. Tap one to go there.
SHUNT YOUR RIVAL
Land on your opponent to push them off their square. The summit only opens from an edge square, and never while they stand beside you.
THE CLOCK PLAYS TOO
Every turn runs on a clock. Time you don't use is banked for later. Stall too long and a move is played for you.
Items
Grab an item. Pick your moment.
Every few moves an item appears on a free corner. Land on it to pick it up.

The legend
The Fifth Sun
The Mexica told of four suns that rose and ended before ours. In the darkness that followed, the gods gathered at Teotihuacan to decide who would become the next sun.
Tecuciztecatl volunteered first, in fine garb, offering quetzal feathers, gold and jade. Nanahuatzin, clothed in paper and covered in sores, was chosen to go with him. Both leapt into the sacred fire. One rose as the sun, the other as the moon.
In Fifth Sun Rising you play as one of them, racing the other to the summit.
