Privacy Policy — Fifth Sun Rising

Last updated October 13, 2026

Fifth Sun Rising is developed and published by DoubleNN Games. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app.

Overview

Fifth Sun Rising is an online 2-player strategy game. Matches are played over the internet through a backend service (Supabase) that pairs you with another player — or, if none is available, an AI opponent — keeps the match in sync between both players' devices, and enforces the rules. The app is ad-supported: it shows interstitial ads between games through Google AdMob, on both iOS and Android.

Guest play (no sign-up)

To run online matches, the app creates an anonymous guest account for your device automatically — no sign-up, no email or password required. This anonymous identity is used to:

This data — your anonymous ID, match history, and rating — is stored on our backend (Supabase). If you only ever play as a guest, we don't collect your name, email, or any other personally identifying information — the identity is a random anonymous token tied to your device or session, not to you personally.

Optional accounts, friends and challenges

You can play without an account. An account is only needed for the FRIENDS screen, where you can add friends and challenge them to a game. Accounts use your device's game service: Google Play Games on Android and Game Center on iOS. There is no separate sign-up, password or email. If you're already signed in to Play Games or Game Center, the app signs you in quietly each time it starts; if you're not, or you decline, you simply keep playing as a guest.

If you sign in, we collect:

The first time you sign in, your guest rating and games played move to your account and the guest account is deleted. If you sign in on a device where you already have an account, that device's guest account and its games are deleted and your account's rating is kept. Games started from a friend challenge are unrated.

Reports, blocks and spam limits

You can report another player's name (the gamer tag shown on a friend request or in a game) and block a player. If you report a name, we store your account ID, theirs, the name you reported and, if it was in a game, which game, so we can review it. If several players report the same player, their name is hidden automatically: other players see "Player" or the name of the character they play instead. If you block a player, we store that you blocked them so they can't send you friend requests or challenges; they are not told. To prevent spam, the backend also counts some actions per account (such as friend requests, challenges, reports and room codes tried) for up to a day. Deleting your account deletes your reports and blocks, and any reports or blocks involving you.

Feedback you send

If you use the SEND FEEDBACK button, the message you write is stored on our backend along with basic technical details (such as app version) so we can investigate it.

Service providers

We do not sell your data, and we do not share your account data with anyone for advertising. It is processed on our behalf by:

All data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep account and game data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Friends → Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, its link to your Play Games or Game Center player ID, your stored gamer tag, friends list, challenges, push notification tokens, rating and game records, and your reports and blocks. You can also request deletion by email — see Delete your account and data.

Data collected by Google AdMob

To show ads between games, the app uses Google AdMob, Google's mobile advertising SDK, on both iOS and Android. AdMob operates independently of the app and, per Google's own privacy practices, may collect:

This data is collected and processed by Google under Google's own privacy policy, not ours. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy, and specifically for how the Google Mobile Ads SDK handles data, support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.

Your choices

Children's privacy

The app is a general-audience strategy game. There is no chat or messaging: the only things players can send each other are friend requests and game challenges, and the only user-chosen content other players see is your Play Games gamer tag or Game Center nickname. Names are filtered for offensive words, and players can report a name or block a player. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If the app's content rating or store listing designates it as suitable for a mixed or child audience, AdMob is configured to request only non-personalized, child-appropriate ads for identified child users, in line with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy.

Permissions

The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or photo library. It asks for permission to show notifications only after you create an account. Approximate location may be inferred from IP address solely by AdMob as described above, not by the app itself.

Changes to this policy

If this changes — for example, if in-app purchases, chat, or a different or additional ad SDK is added — this policy will be updated first, posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date, and, where required, the app's store listing will note the change.
